A Community Cancer Walk Supporting Women Facing Treatment
Strides of Strength is a community cancer walk and spring festival that brings together survivors, families, caregivers, and neighbors to support women beginning their cancer journey.
Hosted by EBeauty Community for Cancer Support, this annual event raises funds to provide free wigs and community support programs for women experiencing medical hair loss during cancer treatment.
Every step taken — and every dollar raised — helps ensure that women facing treatment never have to walk that path alone.

Join us for a morning of movement, community, and celebration as we walk together in support of women undergoing cancer treatment. Participants walk at their own pace along a scenic route while gathering with others who believe that hope, healing, and transformation happen in community.
A Walk and a Spring Festival
Strides of Strength is more than a walk — it’s a community spring festival celebrating strength, connection, and hope. After the walk, participants and community members are invited to stay and enjoy:

• Opportunities to connect with survivors, supporters, and neighbors

Why We Walk
For many women, hair loss during cancer treatment is one of the most emotional parts of the journey. Through Strides of Strength, our community helps ensure that women facing cancer receive the dignity, confidence, and support they deserve. Funds raised through this community charity walk and festival help EBeauty:
• Provide free wigs for women beginning cancer treatment
• Support hospital wig rooms across the country
• Deliver wigs directly to women who cannot access in-person services
• Build community programs that connect survivors, thrivers, and women currently in treatment

Looking Back At Strides of Strength 2025
A Day of Community, Courage, and Care
What happens when women in treatment, survivors, families, friends, caregivers, and neighbors come together with a shared purpose?
On a crisp fall morning, Strides of Strength 2025 answered that question with joy and forward motion. Our first annual walk and run was more than a fundraiser — it was a snapshot of community at its best, showing up for one another with heart and hope.
Created to honor women in treatment, survivors, and thrivers, Strides of Strength supports EBeauty’s mission to provide free wigs and community-based support — through hospital partnerships, mailed wig requests across the country, and in person at our Community Center. Every step taken was a reminder: no one walks this journey alone.
From the start at the Kent Island Library, the energy was unmistakable. Families gathered, teams posed for photos, and first-time walkers joined longtime supporters along the trail to Macum Creek, with water, restrooms, and a shuttle option along the way.
And it didn’t stop there. The walk gave way to a lively post-walk celebration in the post-race Festival Square, complete with live music from Guava Jelly, refreshments, a Flower Market, a bake sale, rock painting, and sponsor activities. A pumpkin scavenger hunt added a playful touch for walkers of all ages.
Because of our walkers, runners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, Strides of Strength 2025 helped expand EBeauty’s ability to provide free wigs, strengthen hospital partnerships, and build spaces for connection, dignity, and healing.
To everyone who joined us — your presence mattered. Your steps mattered. And together, you made something truly special.
